Environment and Sustainability

The best way to predict the future is to create it

We have a continuous focus on the environmental aspect and sustainability in production, and we find that more and more customers are concerned with a supply chain that takes this area seriously.

Environment & sustainability

We have a continuous focus on the environmental aspect and sustainability in production; we are experiencing that more and more customers care about a supply chain that takes this area seriously, which means that Stamas sets itself high goals for this work. Where we believe that a focus on this will not only have a positive effect from an environmental perspective, but that this will also have a positive effect on the company's development and profitability.

Stamas is committed to corporate social responsibility, which starts with the company's own values and principles. This means that we run our business in such a way that responsibility is taken when it comes to human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. Consequently, the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact, together with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, serve as guiding principles for our operations.

We work continuously to ensure the most sustainable production possible, with a focus on continuous improvement of our own processes, thorough risk assessment, good internal emergency preparedness, as well as dialogue and being close to our own suppliers

Recycling rate and waste management

Stamas has a conscious focus on the environment and sustainability, and this also encompasses how waste is handled in our business. We work systematically with source separation to ensure that as much waste as possible goes to reuse or material recycling, and to reduce the amount of residual waste. This applies to production waste, packaging and other materials that are part of daily operations.

Through clear routines and collaboration with approved facilities, we facilitate the proper handling of waste that cannot be recycled. The work on sorting and waste management is a natural part of our holistic approach to responsible operations and continuous improvement within environment and sustainability.
